ALYSSA

Hello! I’m Alyssa and am originally from Malaysia but am
currently doing my master’s at the University of Melbourne. I have a profound
love for animals and have had the privilege of caring for a diverse range of
canine friends, each with their unique personalities and needs. I am most
comfortable with providing care for small to medium sized breeds as my
childhood dog Pixie, who was with us for 14 years, was a toy poodle. I also often
volunteered to pet sit for my neighbors’ dogs (schnauzer, shi tzu, and beagle) over
my school holidays when I was younger.  

When I was living in the US, I dedicated six months to volunteering
at Indy Humane, where I was able to hone my skills in walking and caring for small
to medium sized dogs as well as nurturing older dogs with specialized needs.
Additionally, during my first few months in Melbourne while I was living with
my sister, I became acquainted with the exuberant energy of her Staffordshire,
Simba. I was responsible for his daily care and exercise regimen and learned
over time to match his spirited nature with engaging activities.  

I believe that these varied experiences have exposed me to
dogs of multifaceted personalities, instilling in me the confidence to provide
attentive, loving care tailored to each pup’s needs. Rest assured, your fur babies
will be in capable hands and will receive nothing short of devoted care and
affection under my watch.     

Description of services: 

Dog Walking: At least 30 minutes of walking/ running. As I'm a full-time student, I will only be able to do 1-2 walks on weekdays afte 5:30 pm but will be more flexible with timing over the weekend and can do up to 2-3 walks. The closest park to where I live is Flagstaff gardens so I would most probably take your pup there or whereever your pup is comfortable walking. 

House Sitting: I can offer house sitting services up to 2 nights at a time on weekends (Friday and/ or Saturday). I am also happy to include watering plants, taking in mail, etc during my stay if needed. I am not a professional groomer but would be comfortable with brushing.

House Visits: I will be available to do one house visit in the evening after 5:30 on weekdays (possibly also between 12-2 pm over my lunch break depending on schedule and distance from University of Melbourne) and up to 3 house visits a day on weekends, depending on distance from where I live.
