I have been an animal lover since I was old enough to recognise the unique loveability of furry, four-legged friends who bring such delight into our lives. I've personally owned some very special dogs and cats, all of whom I remember with love. 

Currently, my husband and I have two dogs of our own, Toby a Border Terrier and Danni an Irish Setter. 

As a long term pet owner, I understand only too well the wrench it can be to have to leave your pets when you're away from home. It's difficult to relax when you're anxious about your pets' welfare. The great advantage of hiring a pet sitter is that your pets remain in their familiar surroundings and their routines are not disrupted. This is especially desirable for very young dogs and cats, older ones who may be dealing with age-related or other health challenges and anxious pets. Coming home to a happy, relaxed and secure pet makes having a pet sitter such a worthwhile alternative. 

I have been pet sitting with Pawshake since December 2019 and have successfully cared for cats, dogs and the occasional bird or rabbit, of all ages, breeds and temperaments. I have numerous regular clients who are more than happy to recommend my services, as you can see from my reviews, which are consistently five star. I am very attuned to animals and their needs and potential problems. Over the years I've taken my own dogs to many training courses and classes and am very familiar with current thinking and approaches to dog handling and training.

At present I'm no longer doing pet sitting in your own home, as my dog Toby requires regular medication and care and gets anxious when I'm away from home. However I love walking dogs, so long as they're well controlled and not reactive to other dogs or people. I'm also very experienced in caring for cats or even dogs who may be able to be left at home alone while you're away, by calling in to visit them once or twice a day.
