We are a family with 3 children (ages 14, 12 and 5). All of us love animals and are happy to give your pet an inclusive, attentive home while you need to be away. We have had dogs previously, but the family dog died from old age 2 years ago and we do not yet have a new family dog. We have 4 fluffy chickens who have an enclosed home in the back yard. We also have 2 young bunnies who have an enclosed home in the backyard and spend some time indoors (in one closed off room only). I work part-time in an office-type job.
Our home is:
- Secure backyard with a locked gate and 1.8 metre high colourbond fencing on 3 sides, timber fence in excellent condition on the remaining side. Medium backyard with plenty of shade trees, space to run around and a verander with a lounge that pets can relax on.
- Caring - we will treat your pet as part of the family with lots of love and attention if your pet stays with us (all pets must be good around chickens). This includes daily walks, coat brushing if needed, baths and sleeping indoors if this is what your dog is used to. I am also happy to administer medicines your dog needs. Because we treat your dog as part of our family during their stay, we only accept one dog (or dog family) booking at a time.
I can also visit your home to look after your pet, feed them, take them for walks and do other jobs (such as mail, peace of mind maintenance, security checks and so on) if you can't be at home for a while for whatever reason. I'd be happy to meet you beforehand and discuss a set hourly rate and what you need.
Jude and her girls were great and really accommodating with times. Rupert was well taken care of.
Very good sitter and both her daughters and she love my dogs very much, my puppies spent really happy time on hers!
I hold a Working With Vulnerable People card, a requirement of which is a police check. I can combine pet care with thoughtful home services for when you can't be at home - mail, maintanence, security checks and other peace of mind services, and am happy to meet you beforehand to discuss what you need.
