Hi everyone!

My name is Dana. I am 24 years old, and I work part-time as a Recovery Support Worker at a psychiatric hostel while completing my Masters degree in psychology. I am currently available to house sit/pet sit with my partner, Ben, as we are both animal lovers! Ben is a 25-year-old engineering student who works as a machinist in the uni holidays.

The good news is, because there are two of us, at least one person will be at the house we are looking after 95% of the time, as our schedules are opposite to each other. This means we can give your pets plenty of love and attention!

We have had extensive experience with house sitting/pet sitting as a couple over the past 5 years and we both grew up on rural properties with a variety of animals (e.g., dogs, horses, cats, chooks, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs), so we are quite knowledgeable in terms of looking after different animals. We love spending time with animals, and we make sure that any animals we look after are cared for as if they were our own. This means lots of playing, cuddles, and attention.

Our services include looking after your animals and home with care and respect and keeping everything clean and tidy. We have no preferences in terms of animal size or age and have no issue looking after animals that have any special requirements (e.g. dietary or medical).

SERVICES

We offer the following services (though other services may be negotiated with us!)

Basics (service inclusions for pets)

- Feeding the pet as required

- Access to fresh water

- Pet is able to go to the toilet regularly

- Medication administration

- Pets are kept in a hygienic condition - any messes of the pet are cleaned up, and any signs of illness or injury are reported to the owner

Basics for the owner's peace of mind:

- At least 1 x photo update per day or as negotiated with the owner

- Keeping in contact with owners regarding any changes with the pet and if required bringing the pets to the vet when agreed to by the owner or in an emergency

Specific pet services

- spending time interacting, playing with and exercising your pet as needed (up to 1 hour a day can be set aside for exercising your pet, and we are happy to walk non-reactive dogs who have good manners on the lead)

- lots of pats and cuddles!

- maintaining cleanliness and hygeine for your pets (e.g. picking up poop, cleaning litter trays, and cleaning cages of smaller animals regularly)

Other services include:

- Housekeeping - collecting mail, watering plants, putting out the bins on garbage day etc.

- Keeping house/apartment locked up and secure

- Emptying out rubbish, dirty dishes washed and put away, appliances in working order, bathroom and floors clean - to the same condition it was when we arrived

- Sitters will be the only people at the house at all times unless otherwise agreed with the owner

- Any keys will be returned at the end of the booking as instructed by the owner
