Hello :) 

I am a dog lover who has been casually pet, plant, house sitting and dog walking since 2015 after my gorgeous old lab/kelpie cross sisters passed at the ripe old ages of 15 and 16.

I have always had doggos in my life - be it my own fur buddies, childhood family pets or fur friends belonging to family, friends and neighbours - A couple of years ago I decided to expand my services beyond my own circle of friends and family and had the absolute best time doing so. 

I love animals in general, but am a lover of the doggos first and foremost, and am committed to caring for your best mate as if they were my own, providing all they need while away from you. I have experience with and adore pooches of all shapes and sizes so whether yours is the tiniest Chi, the slinkiest Daschund, the lankiest Dane or the most bear-like Mastiff you can be assured they will be loved and looked after and care is always tailored to each dog's specific needs.

I will only ever have one dog at a time unless they are from the same family, already good friends or are super social and it is by request - that way you can be sure they will feel safe and comfortable and have my full attention. If I do have any concerns with the health of a pet while they are in my care I am capable and responsible and able to act appropriately in case of an emergency. I also understand that your dog is a valued member of your family and should be treated with love, care and respect.

I hold a current Police and Working with Children Check (provided on request), a full Victorian driver's license and own a 4WD with plenty of room for dogs of all sizes should transport be required.

INCLUDED IN SERVICES:

DOG WALKING: 

Standard Sessions: include exercise in green spaces for up to 45mins and are tailored to the particular needs of your dog. (ie. gentle exercise for seniors/ injury recovery, off-leash free runs, dog park social play, ball/ stick activity, water play, group sessions for pack pals, calm and private walks for the less social pooch etc.) *Includes pick up and return - if outside of a 20k radius, an additional petrol fee may apply.   

+ Book x5 standard sessions in advance and receive an additional sixth hour-long session free :) +

Extended and Adventure Sessions (Weekends & School Holidays only): I am super happy to negotiate longer exercise times or to take your pupper(s) out on extended adventures further afield (hiking adventures, beach, lake and river swimming etc). *Includes pick up and return - additional travel time and petrol charges apply                                                                                          

GROUP ACTIVITIES: Should you have a group of social puppers (up to 5 max) and would like to arrange a regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly hour-plus long walk, play or adventure session, please get in touch with your requirements.                                               

PET/ HOUSE/ PLANT SITTING AT YOUR HOME: From my experience to date, many doggos feel much more comfortable in their own familiar surroundings - especially if they're not used to you leaving them - so sitting at your home is often the least stressful option for them and you can be assured that I will take care of your home, pets, indoor plants and garden with the utmost of care. 

Dog sitting at your home includes either one long or two shorter walks a day depending on your preference; all the play, attention and pats they can handle; the administration of any medication they might require and daily videos/photos will be shared with you to put your mind at ease.). Although I specialise in looking after dogs, if your fur family also includes a cat or other pet it will be equally loved and looked after to its particular requirements in discussion with you to ensure it gets the care it needs while you're away.                                                                                   

++ I work Mon-Fri (8.30am-4.30pm) at a school in Kew so your fur baes will need to be okay with someone being out during the day (unless it's a weekend or school holidays).++

++Should your GoodBoy (or Girl) require care beyond the standard services offered I am happy to discuss extra services to ensure they have the very best experience they can.

*Please note: Fees may need to be adjusted as appropriate to each individual booking and your pet/s specific needs. My houseitting fee includes walking for x1 doggo - if you have more than one dog needing walks, an additional walk booking for your second pooch will also need to be made.                                                                                                                   

DOG SITTING IN MY HOME: **I currently only offer dog sitting in my home to existing clients or social doggos who are comfortable in new environments - this is due to finding that often new doggo friends are much less stressed staying with someone new when they are in their own space.** A meet and greet with my housemates super friendly resident pup Sooty prior to accepting a booking is required to ensure happy doggos all around.                                                                                                                    

While they are staying with me, the standard care your doggo will receive includes - either one long or two shorter walks a day depending on your preference; all the play, attention and pats they can handle; the administration of any medication they might require and daily videos/photos will be shared with you to put your mind at ease. I live in a roomy pet-friendly house, with my housemate and his pup Sooty. Our lovely home is complete with comfy indoor spaces and a large, fully and securely fenced park-like backyard for play, sun-baking, bone chewing and zoomies- your doggo will have easy access to both indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring they have all the space they need and can keep warm in the winter and cool throughout the summer months. 

*max x2 doggos at a time (either from the same family or pre-existing pals) as per Victorian regulations. *prior to accepting bookings, an up-to-date vaccination certificate will need to be provided for all doggos                                                                                                                   

GROOMING: I am not a professional groomer but should your best mate happen to be a bit on the nose and in need of a bath (or even just a really good brush) - either can be requested as an add-on or as a stand-alone service.

PLEASE NOTE:

*I am only able to offer 24/7 Dog Sitting care on weekends as I have work commitments outside of the home during the week. Weekday sitting is currently only offered to doggos who are used to someone being out for varied periods of time during the day - but, rest assured they will receive all the evening love, play and attention they could possibly hope for and will never be left alone a single evening or night. If I am staying with your pupper at your house, your pooches' regular routines will be followed as instructed by you as much as is possible. If your doggo is staying with me at mine they will have free roam of my home during the day and access to the huge yard via a dog door. And, no matter whether sitting is at yours or mine, your fur babe will get a nice, long walk/ play/ dog park socialisation in the morning prior to my leaving and immediately upon my return home from work. 

*As I wouldn't want any doggo to suffer or stress unnecessarily, dogs with high anxiety, who do not cope with being left in an unfamiliar home, those who are prone to excessive barking or who are destructive when left to their own devices would not be a good match for boarding in my home but I am super happy to discuss sitting at your home.

*If your pet becomes unwell while they are with me, they will be taken to your nominated vet, either via consultation will you or at my discretion if I am unable to contact you. Please note that vet costs need to be paid directly to your vet, and you will then need to lodge a claim with Pawshake and request to be reimbursed. Reimbursement is At Pawshake’s discretion.
