"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened" Anatole Fran
I have been animal lover since I took my first steps. In my time as a pet mum and surrogate pet mum I have been fortunate to love more than 100 animals. You can see some of these in my photo gallery.
My name is Kierra. My pets are my babies and loved members of our family.
My family includes my husband and my teenage son as well as Arlington, (a Cavoodle) Piccolo (ragdoll cross) and a fish or few.
I know all too well the extraordinary love, and at times the heartbreak we experience with our pets, and the worries we have when we need to be away from our pets. As your surrogate pet mum, I'm here to love your pets when you are unable, to shower them with cuddles and to ensure their hearts and tummies are full. I will never just feed your pet and be on my way. And I pride myself on leaving your home as clean as it was when I arrived.
There is no such thing as a difficult routine. I get it... our pets are routine focused so I'll do my best to accommodate whatever you need.
It is my preference to restrict my house sits to 1-3 days so that I can continue to care for my pets and family. I believe pets do best in their own homes and I'm not in a position to take other pets into my home at the risk of messing with theirs and my pets 'zen'.
I've always loved animals of the furry variety but am equally comfortable around the feathered and scaley variety (except those that go "sssss"). It's a bummer that I'm allergic to horses so I'm probably not the Surrogate mum for your rural animals.
I'm experienced in amateur pet photography, "walkies", cuddles, feeding, medicine and care, and am up for a furry bed companion if that's how they prefer it. I'm also experienced in caring for palliative or ailing animals having suffered my own losses. I can work with you to ensure any special needs are catered for.
Truth be told, that's why I'm signed up for this. I have a full time but flexible M-F job. It's not about the money, it's about being a part of an animals journey - and theirs a part of mine.
Check out my profile gallery for pics of my fur bubbas and those I've cared for.

Kierra was amazing with our pets and is a genuinely lovely person. After our meet and greet together, I had such peace of mind knowing I could go away for the weekend and have my pooches being taken care of so intently and the extra care needed for one my dogs post op didn't faze Kierra at all. I will definitely be confident to use Kierra again next time we are heading out of town.
Kierra was amazing. She took great care of Monkey Cat and managed to make our very timid cat feel comfortable being alone with her. She even got a pat at the end of the week - something that has never happened with previous sitters. We totally recommend Kierra!
