Kat

I'm Kat and I'm a freelance graphic designer who loves animals. I've been told many times that I have a cat personality, so I usually get along with felines very well. At the moment I am pretty flexible with work and location and happy to house sit all over Sydney. 

I had a cat when I was a kid and since then always wanted to have one, but because I moved a lot for work in the past 10 years, it was not something I could commit to. Since 2019, I've been taking care of my friend's fluffy friends. We had a cat Marseille staying with us for 6 months, and I've been cat-sitting a lot at my friend's places since. As I can not have a pet of my own at the moment, I'm very happy to hang out and enjoy the company of other people's animals. Just recently I was taking care of my friend's rescue cat Alice for a month, with was an absolute pleasure. She was very shy in the beginning but at the end of my stay, we became very close. 

A few months ago, I helped my friend to take care of two rescue dogs for a week and quite enjoyed it too. It was interesting to see them being more comfortable with me (they already knew my friend). One of the dogs had quite severe anxiety and was on medication, it was very nice to see her getting more comfortable with my presence and building our friendship. Last year I was helping another friend with her 2 dogs and 2 little puppies for a month but that's about all the experience I have with dogs. 

Every animal has its own personality, so it's a natural thing to get along easier with some of them and less with others, like with people in the end. I really enjoy discovering those personalities and building my relationships with furry friends :)
