I am a lifelong animal lover.
About 10 years ago I began a career as a dog trainer, including puppy classes, mature behavioural-dog behaviour modification and as a scent-detection/sniffer-dog handler. Along with my dog-training work, I am working through a Master of Psychology degree. We work/study from home so there is almost always at least one adult in the house.
I can offer training sessions at your home, at my place, or at the dog park. We also host dogs at our house for short or long stays.
For training sessions I can offer general training or behaviour-specific training to address particular issues you’re having such as:
We can also combine pet-sitting with training sessions if desired.
We also host animals at our house - a big house with a large backyard, with forests, walking tracks and the famous Tallebudgerra 'Dog Island' off-leash dog park, including agility equipment, just a few minutes walk away. We have kids in the house (aged 4-10) who are very experienced and comfortable with dogs (as I'm sure you know, time with children is excellent socialisation for any pup and definitely also for mature dogs). Any animal that enters our house is treated like our own.
We are quite flexible with pick-up/drop-off times.

Our Dog Brownie felt at home straight away, Miranda is very knowledgeable and is easy to communicate with and has a kind nature the same as her family. She can immediately pin point where you’ve put your heart and soul into training haha and can truly acknowledge how important those things are. If you’re someone that has worked hard to train your dog and don’t want the hard work to go to waste, I’d definitely recommend Miranda as she will take good care of your pup without creating any bad habits and treat them with love.
