I'm currently available for pet-sitting and house-sitting in the Canberra region.
Please note: I am only taking on new clients/pets for pet sits with a duration of 2 weeks or longer.
I have been pet-sitting for people on and off over the past 4 years. I've cared for heaps
of different animals in the past - dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, fish, chickens, geese, etc.
I'm passionate about animals, work full-time in the public service and I love being in a home with pets.
My motivation to become a pet sitter started when I began pet sitting 4 years ago. I realised how much I missed having a pet around the house which was always the norm while growing up. I currently own a 1 bedroom apartment and having a larger breed of dog in the apartment just wouldn't be fair on the dog so I have decided until I live in a house to offer pet sitting services.
Services included: feeding, walking, cleaning kitty litter for cats and back yard for
dogs, mail collection, watering of indoor and outdoor plants, giving medication.
Because I currently work from home 4 days a week and am in the office for the other day I
will be able to keep your pet company and give them lots of attention while you are away. I will be out on occasional errands on the weekend but you can expect me to be able to keep your pet company the majority of the time.
For dog walks I
am happy to take your dog on up to two walks per days depending on their usual routine. Typically my walks will be between 30-60 minutes. I always aim to keep their routine as similar as possible to what they are used to.
I take security of the houses I stay in seriously. I ensure everything is locked up when I am away and will be around the house in the evenings. Since I am working from home on all but one day a week I will also be around the house to watch over it for you.
I prefer longer pet sits of 2+ weeks to minimise frequent moving around houses. I am confident
caring for a variety of dog breeds, large and small dogs and dogs that require medication. Please feel free to get in contact if you want any further information
