Hi there,

I have taken early retirement from a career in allied health care and now I am seeking opportunities to take care of your pets when you are unable to.

Please note; I have recently taken on employment part time during the day in my local area. So I can only pet sit in a 10km radius of Bull Creek.

I live with my adult son and daughter, who love animals as much as I do. We had a georgeous Golden Retriever who passed away two years ago and we miss her so much, she was a part of the family; we haven't quite recovered from losing her so have taken our time to replace her. Growing up my sisters and I had a dog, cats, birds, ghecko's, mice and guinea pigs, so we always had pets in our family.

I understand what it is like to have an older dog who needs gentle care, whether it be special food preparation or administering medication. Having raised our dog since she was a puppy, I understand the basics of training, but the most important thing I feel, is that I provide consistent care exactly as you would want me to. My goal is to make sure that your pet feels secure and reassured with me, giving you peace of mind that they are happy and relaxed while you are away. For example, if your dog is not allowed on the couch, I need to know this and will make sure your house rules are followed. If your dog is normally allowed to sleep with you on the bed, I am happy to do the same. All of these details can be collected and discussed on our initial meeting.

The photos you see in my profile are of myself, my daughter and my mother at our home with our dog, relatives, and friend's dog. We also occasionally look after our neighbours dog.

My services available at the moment are as follows

I can stay in your home night and day and provide full care for a maximum of 3 weeks. As I can work from my laptop, and do online work I can be fully 'home based'. I also carry out my art so I can be with your pets most of the day if required, and if I need to go out it would only be a few hours at a time.

Or if you prefer, I can visit your home and spend up to 3 hours there, including taking your dog on a walk and carry out other tasks while there. The time of day as negotiated with you.

During a home visit, I can walk your dog for 30 minutes, longer walks as negotiated within the agreed home visit time frame. While house sitting, one 30 minute dog walk is included in the fee, extra walks as negotiated.

- I can administer medication and grooming exactly as per your instruction.

- I am happy to board more than one pet and depending on the size of your dogs, I can walk two.

- I will also carry out tasks such as watering your plants, putting out your rubbish bin, taking in your mail and so on. While staying in your home I can offer twice daily walks, for the same time duration that you normally would.

- If you require, I will update you with daily reports and photos/movie on how your pet is going ;)

I am a very tidy and organised person, and taking care of your home and respecting your property is as important to me as caring for your pets. While house sitting I always use my own bedding and toiletries, food, utensils and so on. I will ensure that your home is very well cared for, leaving it tidy and clean ready for your return. I take security measures very seriously, and I do not intend to have visitors in your home unless with your approval first. I feel it is very important that all details are covered thoroughly at our initial meeting; for example, all your instructions for pet care, emergency contact details, your vet, so I have my own special prompt list that will need to be completed in addition to your instructions you provide, to ensure nothing is overlooked.

In addition I have an up to date NCC National Crime Check and Right to Work check certificates. I can also provide character references as needed.
