Two For One Sitter Combo! 

This account is for my Wife and me. When you book us you get double the care and attention. We will come to you and look after your pets in the comfort of the home they know and love. 

Please note: we do not offer pet sitting services 'off-site'.

G'day! I'm Matt, the taller good looking one. Don't tell my Wife I said that though, she'll say it's only encouraging me.

Both Chrissy and I have been looking after people's homes and pets for years now. Most of our sitting has been by word of mouth, and very much in our immediate area where we've lived. Sitting for friends, and friends of friends in Melbourne, Perth, Darwin and Brisbane has seen us share time with some great pets in some lovely homes.

We are predominantly in the Brisbane area but have flexibility to travel for extended sits. Message us to find out where we are currently, and we may be able to help you.

We both work remotely and love to travel. Our reason for joining Pawshake is to be able to experience living in different places and discover new things.

We know that your pet is precious, and we're more than happy to shower them with the love, care, and attention you, and they would expect.

We are both non smokers. As much as we enjoy a fun night out, we're not party animals by any measure.

As proud home owners, we appreciate that your home is important to you, and should be treated with respect. For us, it's important that we treat others, their homes, and pets, with the same level of respect that we would like to see given to us in similar situations.

Why do we want to house and pet sit? 

Offering our support to people who need their homes and pets looked after while they go away on a much needed break, or for work, is what we consider a win-win which allows us to do more than just pass through any given town or city. 

Sitting gives us the chance to slow down to a pace where we can live like a local and truly experience where we are at the time.

Both Crissy and I have looked after other people's pets and homes previously. We are comfortable with a wide range of animals, and happy to cater to various needs based on your pets.

About Matthew...

I have been the proud owner of two dogs, a Jack Russell x Chihuahua, and a Staffy x Lab, both of which lived happy lives with me until their time was up. I miss them both, but with travel and work I haven't been in a position to have another dog. Instead, I get to enjoy looking after other people's animals. Other than my 2 dogs, I have bred numerous birds, mainly finches and canaries, kept chickens, and had snakes and lizards.

The earliest situation where I helped look after a home and pets was in Point Cook, Victoria, where the owner of a house who I knew, needed me to take care of her Devonshire Rex, and three snakes for six months while she went to help her mother in Perth, Western Australia.

Some more unique situations I have helped with include my looking after Shetland Ponies belonging to a lady in Geelong, Victoria. Their daily feeding and grooming needs were specific to each horse, and contingent upon the weather.

I have looked after cats whose owners had very specific considerations where their meals required specific serving sequences, and attention while eating.

About Chrissy...

I always remember having pets around while I was growing up. When in South Africa, my family owned a lifestyle block where we had chickens, ducks, goats, dogs and cats. After moving to New Zealand in 1998, we had dogs and cats.

In my twenties, I owned two lovely cats, an ex-hunting dog until she passed, I helped rehome a Shar Pei, and then I owned a gorgeous Hunterway until I moved to Australia. Unfortunately, I was unable to bring him with me. So I gave him to a loving family that wanted to give him a good home.

In more recent years I have not had any of my own pets. I have house and pet sat for a few families in Perth, Australia. From an old rescue cat to Great Danes, they all have their own personalities and needs. I love them all.
