I moved to Australia from the UK in January 2023. Back home I was running a successful pet services business on my own which had grown so much over the two years I had begun I was looking to leave my regular job in order to take on more clients and dedicate more time to existing clients and their needs.

I came from a family that always had a variety of pets around and were forever saving/rescuing more when the opportunity arose. From joint personal experience and running my own pet business I have experience caring for dogs, cats, the vast majority of small animals (with extra love for rats!) and some reptiles.

I also have experience with all manner of dog temperaments, sizes and ages and also have experience with providing medication for pets where needed.

With my own pets I worked with my rehomed dog - Magnus - who had serious separation anxiety and was fearful of most things and situations. With proper care and suitable training I helped him become a much more confident and well-behaved dog. I also researched animal nutrition in much detail and helped him not only put on weight but healthy muscle and remedy a lot of the skin conditions he was suffering from through diet and lifestyle. This also saved us having to take him for monthly allergy injections which he despised with every core of his being.

Before this I also volunteered at a local kennel which was used for both boarding and re-homing purposes for cats and dogs. I was responsible for the daily care of the animals ranging from feeding, walking, exercising, cleaning out kennels, laundering beds/blankets and also helping out on the reception area.

Unfortunately, due to a member of the household being quite allergic to animal dander I am unable to host pets at my current address however I am able to provide walking services, drop-in visits and pet sitting in the owner's home. I have often found, unless pets are used to being taken and left at multiple households, this option is much less stressful for the pet in general, anyway. Whenever pet sitting for clients I always stick to the pet's regular routine - if applicable - and will also continue to work on any training or behavioural work, as required.
