Kerey and Bethania

We specialise in long-term sits. House & Pet sitting has been something that we both came to do very naturally. Since we were babies, animals have been part of our family.

Kerey was born shortly after the house cat gave birth to 3 kittens, one of which slept with him in his cot, and lived with him for 19 years. 

Both of our families quite often rescued animals off the street, and took care of them until we could find them a home or kept them permanently. 

Kerey's family lived in Spain for 23 years, and during their time there they care for a variety of pets and recues. We ended up with a total of 39 cats and 5 dogs at one time, and with a lot of time and effort we found a loving home for all of the rescues.

We also rescued chickens that were abandoned at a local wasteland, baby rabbits that were unearthed at a construction site, and ducklings that someone brought to work and didn't want them!

Kerey started house and pet sitting at the age of 12 for his neighbors who went away on holidays. 

Duties involved feeding the pets, taking them for walks, watering the plants, and living at the house so that the house wasn't empty and kept the pets company. He did this on and off for 10 years. Most pet sits were for dogs, big and small, obedient and not so obedient! During these years I learned how to relate to all types of dog breeds and personalities; from little Yorkshire Terriers to the big Great Pyrenees, skinny Italian Greyhounds, muscular Staffordshire Terriers, and everything inbetween...

Our rescues however, were all mixed breeds, with their own unique traits and personalities. A couple of them had sadly suffered trauma before they came to us, and so they had special needs that we quickly learned about.

Beth also grew up with dogs and rabbits throughout her childhood. During her childhood she had 2 dogs, 1 cat and 8 rabbits. Her family also adopted and found homes for around 5 dogs and 3 cats back in her hometown. She has temporarily worked as a babysitter/au pair/housekeeper, which has given her plenty of experience take care of pets, plants, houses, and babies/children in different countries. She loves animals so much that she has now started her own online business painting cat & dog portraits.

Our most recent experience has been taking care of and communicating with a deaf dog.
