We are a family with a young adult (age 19) and 12 year old. All of us love animals and are happy to give your pet an inclusive, attentive, caring family home when you are away.

We have a detached house with plenty of outdoor and indoor space that your animals can hang out in and enjoy when staying with us. We are also close to nature areas and walking trails and an easy 15 minutes drive from Canberra city.

We have been on this site for several years, connecting with many wonderful animals (and their owners) over that time. We love to have animals returning to stay with us over several years and getting to know them. It's been great to see some puppies we have had stay turn into lovely, well-socialised adult dogs. I grew up with dogs so have more than 40 years of experience. We have had dogs from many different breeds stay and are aware of the different traits of many breeds and what each need. I am knowledgeable about recommended training techniques and ways to ensure your dog feels comfortable and enriched during their stay, both from lived experience and studying psychology in my uni days.

We currently have a rescue greyhound that gets on well with other dogs, and an indoor rabbit (the rabbit is in a separate room). Also we have previously had chickens, budgies, fish and guinea pigs.

I work full time, mostly from home, so can provide 24 hour supervision. We also have CCTV cameras so security is assured.

We treat animals with the same love and care we would if they were our own. This includes:

- attention and playing with them

- daily walks

- coat brushing

- baths as required

I am also happy to administer medicines your pet needs. Alternatively I can visit your home to look after your pet, feed them, take them for walks and do other jobs if you can't be at home for a while for whatever reason. I'd be happy to meet you beforehand and discuss what you need.
