Hi, I’m Bronte-
During my 2 years at RSPCA qld as a volunteer in the puppy and small dog department, I was trained to identify dog behavioural traits and how to best remedy stress in dogs.
Caring for these dogs at the RSPCA (often abandoned) left me with a feeling of wellbeing, to see the joy accompanied with being pet and cuddled and (sometimes) sang to by me. I know how much human affection means to a pet (especially one in a scary situation where their beloved owner is gone!) and I plan to give your pet all the TLC it needs to feel comfortable and at ease.
My personal experience: I have experience with cats, kittens, big dogs, small dogs, rescue dogs, have raised puppies and have also had birds and guinea pigs. I have had pets since I was a wee babe!
What to expect from me:
-A responsible and positive experience where you can feel sure that your pet is in safe hands
-Open communication and honesty
-Exercise and entertainment for your pet -To be listened to in the needs for your pet, and for these needs to be respected and fulfilled (whether it be dietary, medical, behaviour related etc)
-Pictures and updates! And quick replies
For walks: I’ll pick up poop, supply fresh water, as well as nutritious treats for good behaviour. I like to foster safe habits on walks, such as stopping before crossing roads and encouraging pets to sit and wait, heeling, and a good dose of fun socialising with other dogs (if it’s your dogs thing). You can expect a walk where your dog has gotten the exercise they need!
For a home stay: At my home we have a fenced back area, and grass and plenty of plants to sniff. Under my care, if you need your pet to have special observation and attention, I can happily make that happen. If you live close by I can safely do a pick up and drop off for your pet in my car. I will also be able to administer medicine if need be and supply fresh water and nutritious food.
See my other services to take a look at the other ways I am available to care for your furry friend too :)
My pets at home: At the moment, I have an 8 year old German shepherd called Maggie and a beautiful cat called Jasper (see my pictures). Both of them are peaceful and docile, and get along great with other pets. There are no children at home. Our home is made up of 4 equally responsible and animal loving adults.

From the moment we met Bronte we knew that she would be the perfect fit for our shy, but much loved cat. Bronte is kind, gentle, and knowledgeable about how to care for animals. We were away from home for 3 weeks, and it was hard to be away from our cat, but knowing she was being looked after by Bronte put our mind at ease. Bronte was respectful of our requests, sent us photos, and bonded with our cat beautifully. We would definitely book Bronte again without a second thought. Highly recommended.
Bronte thanks for being so lovely! Beagle puppies can be a handful and you were awesome with Herbie! He had a great time hanging with your dog Maggie and we'll definitely love to have you look after our Herb in the future! We're pleased you had a fun time with him :)
I have cared for pets since a young age, in my life i have had dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs and fish! All of my pets came with their own personalities and needed specific attention in certain areas- my current dog Maggie is a rescue dog needing long daily walks and many cuddles due to her affectionate personality and energy.
+2 years experience with RSPCA.
