About Marcela
- My name is Marcela, I am a 20-yr old university student at
the University of Notre Dame Sydney. I also have a casual job at Strike/Holey Moley
Castle Towers. I pet sit because I love pets and miss my beagle named Rocco who
is at my family home in India. I have always loved dogs and animals in general.
I live in Macquarie Park, but my landlord does not allow me to have pets in my
home. However, I am happy to make home visits or walk your pet when you need
it. I have a car but prefer to access most places by public transport when
available. Growing up, I was always the informal pet sitter in my neighborhood,
but I have been pet sitting professionally since I moved to Sydney in 2023! I'm
easygoing and happy to accommodate your specific needs! I would ensure that
your pet feels safe and loved until they are reunited with you. As a beagle
owner, I understand separation anxiety extremely well and so I would be
extremely patient with your pet too!
- My availability works around my university schedule, but I
am happy to accommodate your timings. I am not trained to administer medication
or train/groom your pets, but I can incorporate any training practices that are
recommended for your pet. I can stay with pets as long as you need for home
visits and am happy to tend to any other household tasks while you’re away. I
would only need to leave the house for university classes and casual work
shifts, but I would ensure flexible hours so that your pet’s care is
prioritized. I can take your dog for walks for any duration, usually about an
hour. In terms of location, I’m happy to go where you usually take them or find
a nearby dog park. I can house sit for long periods of time but I would need to
be near public transport so I can commute to work and uni from there. Once
again, I am happy to discuss the specifics and work out the best situation for
your needs.
