Jess

My name is Jess I am a 26 year old university student studying radiography at Deakin. As my studies are based in Geelong I’m currently residing in both Croydon and Geelong and have been partaking in pet services in both areas including surrounding suburbs.

Although I do have a great passion for my studies, I also have an equally as strong passion for animals and animal welfare. I have grown up with pets majority of my life mostly cats, until we got our beloved dog Jazzie who was with us for 14 fun filled years.

We recently have adopted a 9 year old miniature poodle Locky! Unfortunately due to his past he is not overly friendly with other animals so I am not able to offer home boarding services currently.

Most of my animal care experience has come from looking after my own pets which included seeing them through training, looking after them through illness and injuries and ensuring their day to day needs of love and basic requirements are met. I also used to volunteer at a local animal shelter in the welfare and adoption kennels. This involved feeding, exercising and socialising with dogs ready for adoption and dogs with special needs.

From these experiences I am comfortable with dealing with the unpredictability of animals and can confidently find solutions to issues that may arise. I completely understand that animals can fret and be quite uneasy when their owners are absent for a period of time or are out of their normal routine.

When I am in Croydon, I live in my family home with my parents and grandma who both adore animals also. We have a medium enclosed backyard and more than happy to have your dogs sleep on the bed/couch.

What to expect from me? I am an animal lover that would ensure that your pet would get the best care and all the love they need as I know I would want the same for my pet if someone else had the responsibility of caring for them. You can be ensured that your pet will be loved, cared for and spoilt just like as if they were my own.
