Animal Lover Background

Growing up, my family's home in Far North Qld was and still is a "mad house" where the pets seem to rule the roost and they were and still are treated like royalty. My favourite pets were my green budgie that lived for 12 years - his name was Bert and he had the most extraordinary blue budgie cheeks you ever did see; my Christmas kitten, Tessy, who refused to eat "cheap pet food" so she had premium grade mince and science diet cat biscuits instead; and Sam, a sulphur crested cockatoo. Words don't describe how much I loved Sam. He was like a 5th sibling and joined in with us wherever he could. My partner and I made the move south about 5 years ago and now live in Watsonia.

We are proud cat parents to our accidently matching rescue babies - Quentin and Toora. They are super affectionate, talkative and absolute besties - it melts my heart. We love them to bits and now I work from home so I can spend even more time with them.

One thing that is really distressing for me, is leaving the cats to go on holidays - firstly because I miss them and also because I know how much they love spending time with us. Perhaps you can call it separation anxiety! But it is also a HUGE relief when I know that they are in the care of a trusted cat sitter who is reliable and knows how cats like to be treated. This is the relief that I want the pet parents that I service to feel when they go away. When you book me, you will have the piece of mind knowing that your pets will be in the very best care - being visited, fed, fresh water available, brushed and cuddled as well as being given any special foods or treats to keep up their routines - as an example, Quentin and Toora demand cucumber on a daily basis and eat it on their bar stools at the kitchen bench throughout the day. But don't worry, if your furbaby is a bit shy, I will take the time for them to get to know me. I also know how important it is for cats to have clean litter trays, so I will take care of that for you too.

While you are away, I will send you photo updates on your preferred mode of communication on how your pets are going (loving life) just to reassure your nerves that everything is ok. I know that this is a must for me when I go away so I wouldn't offer you anything less.

Don't forget the plants!

If you have plants that need watering or caring for while you are away, I would be more than happy to do this for you as part of the service. Next to cats and birds, plants are probably my next favourite.
