I work at home most of the week so can supervise and entertain the pups constantly, and Max the dachs likes to watch the world go-by from the front window when he isn't sunbathing and sleeping- typical for dachshund behaviour.

He is interested in other dogs and equally ignorant to them too, but he will soon become their friend. He came from the UK with us 2 years ago where he had friends from dachshund size-to-Labrador's so is accustom to most doggy behaviours.

He is walked twice a day and the beach a few days a week so day-care friends will have a walking companion. He eats a human-grade food menu but always expects the cheese-tax to be paid so won't be too bothered with anyone else eating.

The house is littered with balls and some still have their squeaks!

The dog beach is 300m down the road for use when appropriate and they can be walked together or separately if needed. The pool can be used when suitable and the garden has real lawns for sunbathing and daytime toileting. We don't leave them outside unsupervised (no doggy door). With bush land so close we wouldn't want unsupervised unexpected slithery or mouse encounters.

Separate paved area via the garage, at the side of the house for meet and greet or segregation if ever needed. It is shaded and has direct sun areas too.
