Ever since I was young, I have always loved animals of all sorts, from pets to native and exotic wildlife and learning all I can about them, through reading books and watching documentaries. Spending time with them is a pleasure, as I love their company and taking time to know them. I have lived with guinea pigs, a rabbit and a mouse and have both cat and dog experience, taking care of a friend's cats while they were away and also taking care of my sister's Alaskan Malamute.

I have experience walking the Malamute daily for over a year, as well as a toy poodle and a Moodle (Maltese X Poodle). I am a big nerd when it comes to animal facts and will spend a lot of time researching animals, including their breed history and care. I am aware that each animal is different and requires individual understanding and rapport building to best support their needs.

I have volunteered with the RSPCA as part of their Op Shop staff and in the fundraising program, Poorly Drawn Pets, drawing pet portraits.
