Hello, my name is Andrew. My wife and I are both aged in our 60s and are empty-nester retirees living in an inner western suburb of Adelaide. For most of my working life I was an accountant. I'm motivated to care for other people's pets because I want purposeful, useful and enjoyable employment in my retirement. Also I've appreciated good and reliable pet care when I've been away and want to offer you the same peace of mind when you entrust your furry family members to me.

Kind, caring and committed. Our pet ownership history includes an abandoned sibling trio of cats (3 months old) when the last one died after 13 years, a rescue shelter cat (2 months old) for 21 years, another abandoned stray (3 months old) for 8 years , two neglected strays (adults) one for 7 years the other for the last few months of his life, and our second rescue shelter adoption (5 years) whose company we've enjoyed for 3 years so far.

While I am primarily a cat lover I have met many friendly dogs over the years and so am happy to care for them in addition to other animals except snakes. I am offering my services on a 'travel to your home' basis and am willing to feed cats and dogs, keep them company and take dogs for walks for up to one hour per visit. Tending to other animals is fine as well. I am also willing to clear your letterbox and attend to minor tasks such as pot plant watering and keeping bird baths and feed trays etc. topped up. At present I am unable to provide boarding services, doggy day care or overnight stays at your home.

I have been a pet sitter since November 2021. Most of my engagements have been with dogs, either on a regular basis or else for short term periods. Dog breeds cared for include Golden Retriever, Labrador, Maremma, Border Collie, Border Collie/Kelpie Cross, Siberian Husky, Hungarian Puli, Blue Heeler, Japanese Spitz and Dachshund. I have also cared for cats from time to time when their owners have gone on holiday..

Enjoy peace of mind while you're away from home. I am happy to provide my services as a regular arrangement should your lifestyle leave limited time for pet care during the day, or if you travel and prefer to leave them at home rather than at boarding kennels. To avoid disappointment, however, please note that I am much less likely to accept engagements more than 6 kilometres from my Adelaide western suburbs home or in the Adelaide CBD.
