Hello amazing pet parents!

Thanks for stopping and checking out my profile. Here’s a little about me, feel free to ask more.

My name is Michelle and I am a registered nurse, who also has a huge heart for animals. Caring is in my nature and I have a lot of love, time and energy to share. I find being around animals so therapeutic and good for the soul.

I have a lot of experience with a myriad of different animals and have done a lot of pet sitting over the years, as well as some fostering of orphaned animals. I have worked with puppies and kittens, along with adult pets too, and have experience with elderly/unwell pets and I am confident and competent with medication administration for both dogs and cats. I am happy and confident working on training your pets if needed and keeping in line with normal schedules and demands that they may have. I understand the importance of routines and aim to stick to them in a pet parents absence.

Along with my pet sitting experience I have also owned my own beautiful puppy when I was living in far North Queensland, she was a beautiful rescued mix breed. However since moving back to Victoria I have not been in a position to be able to have my own pet again, that is one of the main reasons I began working with PAWSHAKE. Growing up we had dogs, fish, rabbits and birds - no cats as mum was allergic. I have also done some farm work over the years with sheep, cattle, chickens, pig and horses. So I am a bit of an all rounder when it comes to animals and really there is none too big or small, too young or old for me to handle. I also have experience with hand rearing orphaned kittens, including bottle and tube feeding, as well as subcutaneous fluids.

I am patient, kind, caring, respectful and love snuggles with furry friends. It would be an honour for me to care for your beloved pet in your absence. I love taking photos too so if your pet is up for posing you will get lots of cute updates while you're away. It would be an honour to chat with you about your pet sitting needs, whether they be great or small... and be assured your pet will be cared for and in safe hand while you're away.
