Hi, my name's Sarah and I'm 26. I'm a typist and work from home, so my work can come anywhere with me.
I'm new to house sitting but not to pets - I've had pets around my whole life - dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens, mice, and fish. I have a standard poodle and a cat at home at the moment. Unfortunately because of them I can't offer boarding in my own home.
I'm a current volunteer at the RSPCA Lonsdale shelter so that's given me some additional training in animal behaviour and care, particularly with dogs. Through them, I also have a current police clearance to work with animals.
My dog has allergies and is on oral medication, so I know how to accommodate for dietary needs and I'm more than happy to administer oral medication. No IV, I'm sorry.
I love walking and would love to take your fur baby with me - at least half an hour for small or older dogs, and at least an hour for larger or more active dogs. I'm happy to take up to two at the same time. I'm experienced with strong dogs and dog-reactive dogs. I love a cuddle as well.
As I'm able to work from home, I will be at home most of the time with your fur kids. If I do leave, it won't be for longer than five hours per day. Let me know if your pets have separation anxiety or need constant supervision and of course this will be accommodated.
During home visits, I will feed your pets, bring in your mail, water any plants, open your windows to air out the house if you like, and hang out with your pets for at least an hour, including playing with them if they like that. If they don't, then maybe just a cuddle on the couch! For dogs, this will also include a half an hour walk per visit.
I'll make sure to send you photos and videos of your happy fur kids every day so you can enjoy your holiday free from worry.
I will only house sit in smoke free homes. At this point in time I'm available to house sit for up to seven nights.
My partner is happy to stay home with our pets so I can give your furbabies my full attention.
I'm also more than happy to water any plants you have, and I'll bring in your mail and take out your bins as necessary.
