Hello! My name's Kym and I'm a 48 year old Melbournian. I have worked in the health field for most of my life, plus dabbled in the performing arts and fitness industries. I guess you could say that caring for others and keeping fit and healthy are my philosophies in life. I also enjoy caring for animals, and as you can see from my photos, there have been quite a few! I have some lovely stories......... Larry or "Lazza" - the fluffy white chinchilla was a rescue cat, I inherited him from a lady in my previous block of flats who was unable to care for him anymore. He and I became best mates for his remaining years. Even though he looked grumpy, he was very placid (he even let me bath him to soothe his itchy skin - the poor fellow had dermatitis which I managed to clear up with a bit of extra love and care). Gemma or "Possum" - the beautiful black and white fluffy Keeshond dog belonged to my parents. I looked after her on several occasions when they travelled overseas. We had alot of fun walking at the park and the beach, we even did the Million Paws Walk one year - a very enjoyable day. Meggs or "Meggsie" - the ginger tabby cat. He lives in the flat upstairs with his mate Tighe (I don't have a good photo of Tighe as he's always eating or rubbing his head on my foot). Their owner goes away for several weeks every Christmas, so I have looked after them for the last 3 years. I always send the owner photos of her boys so she knows they're OK, especially in the hot weather - the Dyson fan goes on, and I check on them twice a day. Hugo, Ollie, Nero, Mischa, Chleo & Daisy - a friend of mine has 2 pug dogs and 4 exotic cats (Siamese, Egyptian Mau, Abysinnian & Ragdoll). If ever she goes away I'll pop in and feed them and clean up after them all....yes there's alot of cleaning up, but it's really no bother. Max or "Maxy" -thegrey spotted tabby (with the red bow & lazing in the box). He stayed with me for several weeks one Christmas when his owners went away. He was very helpful with the Christmas tree..... And there's others I have had the pleasure of knowing; LuLu the baby Chow, Ginnie the Whippet, Ollie the Golden Cockerspaniel, Dragon & Khan the Tabby cats, Tigger the Greyhound, Bastiaan the Keeshond.....just to name a few Because of my enjoyable experiences with cats and dogs, I thought I could offer my services; Cat or Dog sitter - large or small, male or female Dog walker - happy to walk your dog either around the streets or at a nearby park Home visits - will feed & top up pet's water. Give them a pat & play. Poo & fur ball cleaning up. Indoor plant watering. Boarding at my place - I live in a spacious, clean and smoke-free 2 bedroom appartment without any other pets (please refer to photos). Very safe and secure. If boarding at my place, cats will be kept safely indoors with plenty of space to roam around. Dogs will be walked twice a day (will only let them off the lead at the leash-free area at the park or beach). And of course will take them out on a lead if needing to "use the bathroom" (even if it's the middle of the night, it's no problem!). I work part-time, and am home every evening and weekends. Own car & driver's licence - happy to pick up or drop off your pet Your pet will be treated as if it was my own (part of the family) Feel free to contact me should you have any further questions. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! Kind Regards, Kym
Kym is highly communicative, trustworthy and was available for me at short notice which was so appreciated. Salem was well look after. I'll definitely choose her again!
Kym is lovely and took great care of my senior cat! Would recommend her to anyone. Loved getting updates while I was away.
