My name is Caitlin.
I'm a 22y/o animal lover, a first-year nursing student at the University of Newcastle, and former veterinary nurse. I enjoy spending time outdoors having fun and relaxing with a book or movie at the end of a long day.
At my previous place of employment in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, the vet nurses offered pet sitting and walking services to clients and I came to quite enjoy it. I have since left the industry but would love to continue pet sitting! I loved my clients' pets like they were my own and had a number of regular and repeat clients. I cared for high needs patients in my work and also house sat some of these patients at home, giving their families peace of mind while they were away. I find that pets come to trust me quite easily, even if they experience anxiety.
Services I can offer to your furry, feathered or scaly friends include taking them for a walk, general enrichment activities, house visits, and pet sitting in your own home. Pet sitting in my own home would need to be considered on a case by case basis.
I am not a TAFE certified groomer but am quite capable of performing basic grooming including the safe use of clippers and scissors for a neat tidy up, trim, or shave. I can also safely bathe your pet and trim their nails.
I am happy to undertake general housekeeping whilst pet sitting, such as caring for the garden, collecting mail, upholding the cleanliness of the house and other tasks of similar nature.
At home, I have my greyhound Bobby who is generally very independent and my partner Andrew, also a nursing student, he is in his final year.
Caitlin recently house & pet sat for us for 16 days while we went overseas.
Both of our exuberant dogs LOVE her, and get so excited when she comes to see them! We were really relaxed and comfortable knowing that Caitlin was taking care of the dogs, she is so comptent and reliable.
When we got home, both of the dogs were very happy & healthy, and the house was beautifully clean. It is wonderful to have a sitter like Caitlin on our team!
