About Me:

My name is Kara, I am 39 years old and based in Largs Bay, South Australia. My love for animals began at a young age, and caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. That passion has only grown over time, and I am now fortunate to be pursuing work that truly aligns with it.

I grew up with a family cat and dog, and as I got older I cared for a variety of pets including budgies, guinea pigs, a goldfish and two turtles. Over the years, I have also provided in-home care for friends’ and family members’ dogs and cats, ensuring they are well looked after in a familiar and comfortable environment.
I currently share my home with three rescue cats — Ninja, Missy Elliott and Astra — along with one rescue bunny named Muppy (courtesy of my stepson 😆). I also recently said goodbye to my beloved Dalmatian, Hope, who crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈🐾.
Our pets truly become part of our family. They show us unconditional love, bring endless joy into our lives, and leave lasting paw prints on our hearts.

I believe every pet deserves all the love in the world like they show us and I’m so excited to be here offering my pet sitting and care services.

I hold a current DCDI – Working with Children Check, National Police Check and am happy to provide this upon request.

🐾 Services

I believe pets are most comfortable and stress-free in their own homes and that’s why I only offer in-home services from Taperoo right through to Grange (Western Suburbs).

My services cover cats, dogs, birds, turtles, bunnies, guinea pigs, and some of our scaley friends.

All new clients come with a complimentary meet and greet. It's a great way for us to meet and get to know your pet 💜

• 1x per day – $20
• 2x per day – $38

🐶 Happy Paws Walk

30 mins – Dog Walking $25
Have a pair? Add $10 per additional pooch (max 2 per walk)

🚖 Pet Taxi

Pick-up & drop-off service – because life gets busy!

Got a pet grooming appointment? Need assistance getting them to daycare or the vet?
• $35 per 30 mins / 2 x 15 min
• Service includes vet clinic drop-off

🐾 Your pets safety, my priority - please read

1) Insurance / coverage:
> Please refer to Pawshake’s Peace of Mind Guarantee for details on veterinary and public liability coverage during confirmed bookings.
2) Health & behaviour:
> Please ensure your pet is healthy, up to date on vaccinations and parasite control, and that any medical or behavioural needs are discussed before booking.
3) Transport / vet visits (Pet Taxi):
> Pet Taxi available for confirmed bookings. Pets must travel with appropriate restraints & owner to provide the restraints. With your consent, I can check in/out at the vet. Approved vet fees remain the owner’s responsibility, and the vet must be notified prior to drop-off or pick-up.
4) Safety & walking:
> Walks are on-lead only and tailored to your pet’s pace and routine. Extreme-heat days may be rescheduled for your pet’s welfare.
5) House visits:
> Your pet stays comfortable in their own home. I’ll follow your care instructions and treat your home with respect.
6) Communication:
> You’ll receive regular updates and photos after each visit so you can relax while you’re away.
