About Me:
I'm Frankie, a 22 year old studying a Bachelor of Arts/Advanced Studies at the University of Sydney. Being a university student means I have heaps of free time during the day, and what better way to spend it than walking dogs? When I moved to Sydney from my hometown, Canberra, I had to leave my family dog, cat and chickens behind, and I really missed spending time with animals. So since then, I have become a dog walker and pet sitter! I currently have two regular dogwalking clients and a few irregular ones, and I would like to increase that.
Availability:
Currently I have university classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. I am available all other days.
Dog Walking:
I have grown up with dogs my whole life, and I have lots of experience with both large and small dogs. The dogs I walk currently are a beautiful yellow lab (only a year old - still got all that puppy energy!) and a cheeky little terrier (he's an old man with 13 years under his belt!), and my family's dog was a gorgeous border collie x kelpie. I can walk dogs of all ages, and can help with training puppies. Currently I only take dogs out solo, but I would be very open to taking a group to the park together. Usually, I take dogs for an hour or an hour and a half, but I would be open to taking them for up to two hours if your puppy has a lot of energy to burn off! I also usually only take dogs out once per day, but I am also open to extra walks if needed.
Pet Sitting:
I am available to pet sit at both your home and mine. If I am taking care of pets in your home, it must be close to my own house as I am also a tutor and all my clients live near enough to me that I can walk/ride my bike, as I don't have a car in Sydney (I do have a full driver's license). I am happy to pet sit both dogs and cats and pocket pets such as guinea pigs and chickens - I have experience with all of these pets. I also rode horses for many years growing up, and volunteered at the stables, helping with mucking out stalls and catching horses in paddocks etc. I don't have much experience with reptiles or birds. I am happy to provide drop-in services (to feed a cat, for instance) or more full-time care. However I may need to leave your pet alone at home for an hour or so if I am tutoring or have university classes.
My home:
I live in a small townhouse in Newtown with three lovely housemates who love animals. We have a fully fenced in backyard but it is small and I have veggie patches that are very easy to dig up, so its not ideal for a large dog but not impossible - there's two photos of it featuring Eleanor and Ted, a golden lab and a groodle, who have both stayed with me before and did OK with the small backyard. We can easily make our house puppy proof by hiding a few cords etc! However I would not like to have any dogs or cats that are known to be destructive, as I wouldn't want them destroying anything that belongs to my housemates. We will also only accept vaccinated and neutered pets.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
I have a Working With Children Check and can provide references from my other clients if necessary.
