I became a house and pet sitter purely by accident whilst travelling around Australia in our van for 2 years, as a chance to get out of the van for a bit, that van gets to be a very small space on wheels and also to enjoy the company of four legged furry pets which I missed. Now I am back in my own home I would like to continue caring for animals whose owners are unable to take their pet with them on holiday.I truly believe that a pet gets a more positive experience with doggie home care than at a kennel,being able to be part of a family. While in my care they would be treated as a member of our family going in the car etc if allowed.

I will be taking smallish dogs only up to 10kg,no puppies sorry as I only have a small fenced yard and it will be on a one family basis at a time. I have a doggie door in the laundry so the pet can access the yard for toilet. I live near a lovely park where I walk most mornings and my little charge is welcome to come with me if allowed. It has 2 off leash areas one for small dogs and one for larger dogs. This option is only if the dog is allowed. There will be no charge for this walk. Other walks can be negiotated At this stage I am not offering pet sitting in the owners home but that could change in the future.. I don't have any pets myself, no children live with me(I am retired) and I live with my husband. My interests are cooking,keeping fit, paper craft and travel.

My experience with pet sitting is varied looking after many types of animals in that 2 years with medications needed by some, anxiety issues with others etc. We did 20+ house sits on our travels and have excellent references which I am happy to share ( I still look after a little 15 year old dog at my home to this day from time to time.) I have obtained a National Police check and have been screened as a NDIS worker ( I was a volunteer for a time).

I have a current drivers license and have access to a car which means I am negotiable with pickup or delivery of your pet back to your home if needed and close by. I live in Rochedale South with a emergency pet hospital in Springwood

If interested I would welcome a Meet and Greet with you and your pet. I will ask lots of questions about your pet so as to look after them as you wish. I ask that you supply your pets food and bring their bedding with them and any toys they love.We can discuss any relevant concerns and requests when we meet up.
