Hi! My name is Kahlea, and I’m an 18-year-old student studying Speech Pathology at the University of Adelaide. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve grown up surrounded by them. Caring for pets comes naturally to me, and I’m genuinely motivated by making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet sitting allows me to combine my passion for animals with supporting owners who want their pets to be in caring and capable hands.

I live close to Wynn Vale Dam, which has beautiful walking paths and open spaces that are perfect for dog walks and enrichment.

I live at home with my family, and we are all animal lovers who are respectful and experienced in caring for pets. I currently own a 16-year-old Maltese Shih Tzu and a 5-year-old Mini Lop Dwarf rabbit. Because of this, I am very familiar with senior care, as well as small-animal handling.

I have extensive experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages, breeds, and temperaments. I have pet-sat for family members, including caring for three cats and a Border Collie x Golden Retriever, and I am confident with both energetic breeds and calm, relaxed pets. I am comfortable feeding, walking, providing enrichment, and keeping pets on their normal routines. I can administer oral medication such as tablets or liquids, and while I am not a professional trainer or groomer, I am happy to help with basic commands, routine reinforcement, brushing, and simple hygiene care.

Alongside university, I work at an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service, which has strengthened my responsibility, reliability, and time-management skills. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to spend quality time with pets in the mornings, between shifts, evenings, and weekends.

I offer several services depending on your pet’s needs. For home visits, I usually stay between 30 and 60 minutes. During this time, I provide feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks or litter cleaning, cuddles, playtime, and updates for owners. I am also happy to water plants and bring in mail if required. For dog walking, walks are typically 30 to 60 minutes and may take place around my neighbourhood, at nearby parks, or around Wynn Vale Dam, depending on what your dog enjoys and what you prefer.

Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. My goal with every booking is for pets to feel relaxed, safe, and loved, and for owners to have complete peace of mind knowing their animals are being well cared for. I truly treat every pet as if they were my own and always aim to provide compassionate, attentive, and reliable care.
