I am a qualified veterinary nurse with a love for animals big and small.
Funfact- I have had two dogs before I became owned by a cat! While I'll always love my dogs for their loyalty, energy and intelligence, my cat brings peace and tranquility to my evenings, and her funny antics are always good for social media. Besides my home visits to feed your pet and clean his/her sleep area, I also allocate some time to hang out and play with your pet as that provides stimulation and helps make the rest of the day easier for your pet when you are away. I love receiving pictures of my pets in boarding while away, and I am guessing you would too (so yes, picture update is part of the service).
My work experience comes in handy in providing your pet with professional care, especially if he/she needs medication e.g. oral or topical medication, insulin injections and of course, a little bit more love and cuddles to make the 'treatments' more bearable. If you are wondering about letting someone into your home while you are away, I'd have the same concern too! You'd want an honest, genuine pet sitter with common sense to access and leave your home after making sure your pet and house are safe. Still not sure? Send a message if you have any questions!
Thank you Joanne for providing daily care and attention to our loved rabbits. We loved receiving our daily pictures and are mind was at ease that they were being looked after in our own home whilst we were away.
Joanne has been a literal life saver. I’ve used her a few times & her communication has always been excellent. On my most recent work roadtrip she was aware & caring enough to notice a subtle change in my cat’s behaviour & then provided such detailed information I was able to discuss with the Vet & ultimately return home early to co-ordinate treatment. Joanne was so caring & thoughtful through this process & even followed up afterwards to see how my cat was doing. In 17 years of using pet sitters she is without question the best & I feel very lucky to have now found her.
