Hi there, my name is Lucienne, but everyone calls me Luci, and I’m the founder of Canine Culture Australia. I’ve always had a natural connection with animals. From a young age I was surrounded by all sorts of pets, but my deep connection with dogs has played the most significant role in my life. Stepping straight out of school and into the animal industry with a position in a vet clinic was a natural progression for me. During this time, I started to explore my interest in dog behaviour and training by attending seminars and workshops and it was not long before I realized this is where my true passion lay. I was so lucky to be able to get a position as a dog handler with an amazing local Canberra business. Not only could I be covered in dog hair, slob and constantly smelling of dog treats but I was given many great opportunities and invaluable experience. My personal and professional growth during my many years as a part of that team was quite significant before I stepped away to start a new adventure.
Making the decision to grow and develop Canine Culture has come after quite a dramatic event in my life. In 2017 I had my beautiful son Archer, who was the happiest little boy you probably could have ever known. During my time with Archer my dogs Meeko, Zephyr & the new addition of Nova (oh and cant forget the cat Heisienberg!) were there as my support crew as they always are during changes as I’ve transitioned from one chapter of my life to the next. Always deepening my respect and admiration for them. In 2018, at only 16 months of age Archer passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Again, my dogs were there for me and are here during the hardest year of my life. They have been playing a massive role in my healing.
Archer taught me so much about life, and he continues to teach me every day about living a life of purpose. Life is short, but it gives us plenty of time to do all that we want to do. To give meaning to life, follow direction to goodness and follow your passions. One of my biggest passions is working with our four-legged companions and the relationships that we share with them. All our relationships, including those with our dogs are gifts and the gift is in what each relationship can teach us.
We are not here for a long time. We are here for a purpose – and to have a good time along the way. So through Canine Culture I’m going to have a pretty good time embracing the relationships I share with dogs, and all other animals, and helping their owners with fulfilling their companions lives.

We were absolutely over the moon when we came across Luci. We were so comfortable leaving our pup with Luci. The home is so well set up for dogs!! Luci was amazing showing us around and communicating what she would be doing with our pup throughout his five night stay. The property was perfect, our dog was super happy during his time there. Luci often texted photos to us throughout his stay. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Luci!! Thank you sooooooo much Luci xx
Luci was great and our pup Sonic had a great time. He’s always a bundle of energy and they handled that really well. Luci also sent us lovely photos of him having fun out on a walk.
