I'm a nurse and my partner is an engineer. My workplace requires an up to date police clearance and working with children's check. So surely I'm qualified to look after your furbaby.
I grew up with dogs and cats. We currently have Tucker, a 10yo black labrador cross sharpei who lives inside. We have a dog door so he can go outside when it suits him. We adopted Tucker in November 2020 after our almost 14yo yellow lab Sambo passed away in July 2020.
Tucker is inside when we are home and sleeps in many places (our bed, floor, outside, lounge). He won't sleep in his dog bed. Tucker goes for daily walks. He is also microchipped, desexed and gets his annual vaccinations plus monthly working/flea tablets.
We have a dog door so the dogs can go in and out as they please.
I can administer medication.
We started using Pawshake after one of our labradors died. It was a way for our other lab to have company but without the commitment of a second dog full time. I think Sambo liked not competing for attention all the time with a second dog. So Pawshake was brill for that. We have had regulars since then that we happily look after now with Tucker.
So we have continued using Pawshake. I have used Pawshake myself for dog sitting and home visits and have loved the experience.

The best! I'm often worried our girl won't want to come home because she has such a good time with Cara
Cara took brilliant care of our young groodle on short notice, we were really appreciative. We could tell he loved playing with her dog Sam and Cara sent lots of updates and pictures which made us feel super comfortable. We would definitely book in with Cara again.
I'm a registered nurse and have been for over 10 years.
I am familiar with giving pet medication. I am great at communication.
We are a child free family by choice and so pets are like children for us. Forever and part of our daily life.
