Hi, I’m Cait, based in Dalkeith, and someone who has never been without a dog since the age of eight. I wanted to be a vet, but my mum mentioned spiders, so I became a doctor instead 🤣

Leaving your dog is hard. So here’s what their day actually looks like with me.

☀️🏃♀️morning run/walk along the river while the world is still quiet and if your dog loves water the river’s right there for a lovely swim.

🏡Back home for a slower mid-morning.

🌊Then out again in the afternoon when the day needs a second wind, and on the best days, a run down to the beach together. That said, we completely tailor to your dog/dogs if they’re happiest with a gentle potter and a long nap, that’s perfect too.

🛋️💺Dogs are allowed on the furniture. There is always someone around for a hug, a scratch behind the ears, or just to sit quietly with and whatever they eat at home, that’s what they’ll get here too. If they swim, they’ll come back clean a proper rinse off before the sofa reclaims them

I only take one family’s dogs at a time. Your dog or dogs have the house and my full attention no navigating other dogs, no pack dynamics, no sharing.

We have four boys who’ve grown up around dogs: Weimaraners, Golden Retrievers, Goldendoodles, Cocker Spaniels, Vizslas, Dalmatians. The kids and the dogs tend to fall for each other pretty quickly. But we’ve always taught our boys to read a dog, if ever the dog ever needs space, it gets it.

🩺I'm a trained doctor with a background in functional medicine, so i'm pretty calm under pressure, completely fine with medications, and good at spotting when something’s quietly not right. You can go on holiday and actually relax.
