Hello, lovely families!

My name is Ruby, and I’m from Adelaide, Australia. My favourite things to do right now include exploring the world around me, going on long walks or hikes, and spending time outdoors with the people (and animals!) I love and meet along the way.

I have a passion for nannying—caring for children in their own homes. Because of this, I started my own nanny agency, which I now run remotely. Over the years, many of the families I’ve worked with have also asked me to house-sit or pet-sit, and it’s something I genuinely love doing!

Now, please let me introduce you to the pets I miss at home!

Starting off strong, we have the lovely Max. Originally a sheepdog from outback Australia, he had a habit of jumping fences and escaping from his old family, eventually ending up at a rescue centre. Lucky for him (and us!), my family adopted him in 2018. He was about two years old then, and now he lives a very happy life filled with love, beach walks, and freedom at the dog park!

Next is Edie—the one often found cuddled up on her bed. She’s a German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) and my mum’s pride and joy. Edie lives a very luxurious life: she starts her mornings with a 5–10km run alongside my mum and then spends the rest of her day relaxing in the sun. She is truly living the dream.

At home, my sister and I rescued two beautiful kittens—a brother and sister we named Kimchi and Tom-Yum (naturally!). They’re incredibly close and full of personality. Most days they’re off on adventures, getting up to mischief—but they always make it home in time for dinner.

I’ve been around animals all my life, and caring for them has always felt second nature. Even in my nannying work, I find myself including the family pets in outings and play—children absolutely love it, and so do I.

Being around animals has taught me how to read their moods, gain their trust, and care for them in a way that feels familiar and comforting—whether that’s sticking to feeding routines, giving space, or offering lots of play and attention.

I’m tidy, calm, and respectful of people’s homes, and I’m happy to provide updates while you're away so you know your pets (and plants!) are in good hands.
