Hi there! My name is Amber, I am a 28 year old animal lover. I want to help you make your pets as happy and spoiled as possible! As a vegan I take animal welfare very seriously so you can trust me to be responsible for your pets safety and needs.

I just returned from living in Germany and had the pleasure of pet sitting some adorable fluffy friends whilst there. I have recently moved back to Aus, recreated my profile here and am super excited to continue petsitting here in the Gong :D I received excellent feedback from the people I pet sit for in Germany and have included screenshots in my new profile, so please take a look :)

I am also especially fond of cats so please don't hestitate to contact me if you have a feline housemate! I'm experienced caring for fussy/shy/fearful cats and using patience/compassion to earn their trust. In the past I have been able to do this by being carefully aware of their body language and creating positive associations via treats/play. Im very detail oriented to understand your usual habits so I can maintain those while you are away to minimise stress for your cats as much as possible. So absolutely send me a message if your cat may need a bit of extra compassion.

I'm a super sporty person and enjoy going on walks daily anyways so let me take your dog out with me! I love to try to create the best enriching experiences for pets so would love to take the time to find some awesome places to take your dogs for a good long walk based on your location. I grew up with dogs including 2 dalmations so am very confident with large dogs. I'm also experienced with dog reactivity and am happy to acommodate for this in our walks, finding places where it's quieter/less likely to encounter other dogs or providing distraction/redirection to avoid other dogs. If you are doing any behaviour training Id also be happy to continue that work during our walks/visits, just let me know :)

My normal process is to first organise an inital meeting for you to get to know me, ask any questions and feel comfortable before booking. During this meeting I ask lots of questions to understand your routine eg. feeding times/process, play preferences, locations of cleaning products, any behaviours I need to know about, as well as picking up/dropping off keys. I also make sure to get emergency details including your chosen vets details, how to best transport your pet if I did need to take them to a vet and also where to find spare keys just in case one is lost (these details are very unlikely to be necessary but I make sure to get them just in case). If you are happy after our first meeting you can confirm the booking with me. When I start doing the visits/walks I make sure to stay very communicative and share lots of photos showing your pet playing and happy each day so you can feel confident your pet is being cared for. I'm happy to accomodate extra requests like watering plants or doing medications, just let me know :)

I am available to do house visits, dog walking (1-2 times/day possible) and housesitting (a few days up to a few weeks is possible).
