Cats love me, they always want to lick me, head butt me and basically own me! I love them back with all my heart. I also love dogs, rabbits, rodents and elephants, but cats are my spirit animal. If you chose me to care for your cats then they will get lots of loving, will always have a welcoming lap to sit on, will share my pillow at night and steal a piece of my heart
I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse, qualifying in 2010. I changed careers after 25 years as a hairdresser. I am also certified in Captive Animal Management (aka zoo keeping) and take enrichment very seriously so I guarantee I will play with them and always put their well-being first. I can treat your cats if they require medication, and also keep a close eye on those senior cats, special needs cats or the less healthy.
I give back to animals by volunteering overseas on mass sterilisation projects. I have chosen not to have pets so I have the flexibility to travel and help those in need. I co-founded the Sydney cat rescue charity “Inner City Strays” and have fostered close to 100 cats and kittens over the years, including the infamous Stevie & Isaac who had to go through a series of complicated eye surgeries. Stevie was completely blind and I catered for his needs.
I offer several types of services. I can come to your house and live in or just visit to feed, pet and tidy up after your cats. I can have your cats come stay with me. If I house sit, I also water your indoor plants, collect the mail, put out the bins and leave your house as clean as when I arrived. If your cats come to live with me I have a large, sunny spare room where they stay for a couple of days until they feel ready to investigate the rest of my two bedroom apartment. Once they are ready I encourage them to join me on the sofa and sleep on my bed. My apartment is very safe with no escape routes. I live on my own and love having their company. I work part time so spend a lot of time at home with them.
Dogs make me happy, cats make me complete.
Diana was a wonderful sitter for Herbie - he settled in well and Diana kept us updated daily with lots of messages and pictures / videos. We will definitely be hiring Diana to mind Herbie again!
