I'm a retired professional who has owned dogs most of my life (from a 45kg groodle to 7kg Cavalier King Charles Spaniels). Our 13yo giant groodle passed away a few months ago and we aren't ready to adopt another but very much enjoy caring for others' beloved pets, giving them the attention and love they deserve on their ‘holiday’!

My family includes two children, 10 and 12 years old, who love animals and are very used to dogs particularly, and we live in a house with a secure/fenced backyard.

I am home most of the time and can give them the attention they deserve. they will usually not be left alone for more than an hour or two at most, and will have at least two walks a day of 30-60 minute duration, dependent on weather/heat etc.

I enjoy walking and aside from exploring the neighbourhood streets, we also have two dog parks within a block or two if your dog enjoys socialising with other and/or running off-leash in a secure, enclosed large oval. If they travel well in the car I am also very happy to take them to dog-friendly bays such as Bayview or Clontarf, but only letting them off-leash if they reliably return of course.

I am comfortable administering medication to dogs, and they can sleep either inside or outside dependent on their usual routine. We have had small dogs sleep on our beds also if that's the usual for them.

I will look after one family's dog/s at a time only. (Up to 3 dogs at one time but only if they all normally live together)
