Hello!
My name is Spencer, I have a gorgeous Kelpie cross called Harper and a cat called Princess. Both are rescue animals who came to me timid and untrained and are now thriving - Harper walks on a perfect loose leash now and has an arsenal of tricks up his sleeve and loves joining me on hikes. Along with hiking I enjoy music, dog training and developing dog treats.
I offer dog walking, house visits and house sitting. If I house sit I will not be gone from the home for more than 3 hours - and if your dog has separation distress/anxiety I can work with you around what is an appropriate amount of time that your pet can be left for. A home visit is pretty flexible so lets have a chat about what you expect - typically its about a half hour visit, I feed the dogs and make sure there's ample water, take them to the toilet and have a play and give some love to your pup
If you like I can also offer basic training with walking manners, tricks and I can train a solid recall too. I have experience with reactive dogs. I have have experience with special needs dogs including epileptic, fully and partially deaf dogs, anxious dogs, rescue dogs and diabetic dogs.
I have worked with a huge mix of breeds including Rottweilers, German Shepherds, working breeds (Kelpies, Border Collies, Healers), Chihuahuas and Cavaliers. If your dog is reactive I can offer early morning walks to help minimise trigger exposure and make the walk as enjoyable as possible for your pooch.
I'm a committed to.a positive force free approach and thus use a lot of treats and praise, I am happy to provide treats most likely hotdogs or chicken or if you like you can provide your own treats. Feel free to have a chat to me about why I use treats and when I use them.
