Hello! I am currently in my second year of studies in the Animal Science course in Murdoch University. I own a Jack Russell Terrier, adopted 8 years ago and he is currently 10 years.
I provide dog walking, pet sitting and house sitting services - bringing your pet out for an hour or two around your neighbourhood or spending time with your pets at home for a longer period, playing with them, brushing them, watching over them. Dog walks can be provided for your dog for 15 minutes to an hour and house visits for 1-2 hours for 1 or 2 times a day. Drop me a message and we can arrange according to you and your pet's needs while you are away. Do note that I only provide housesitting services over the weekends (Friday-Sundays only). I'd love to take care of your pet(s) like how I do with mine, with lots and lots of love!
I have more than 9 years of experience with handling small animals (dogs/cats) through volunteer work at various animal shelters. At the shelters, I have gained many experiences such as dog walking, showering, feeding, and swimming. As time passed, I learnt new skills such as to understand dog's behaviour during socialisation, knowing if they are uncomfortable, shy, playful or aggressive. Whenever a dog has a wound or is sick, I am also able to apply medication or do force feeding of oral medication if required. I also did photography for the shelter dogs, to promote them for adoption posts on social media. As one of the shelter's activity, I signed up for a 8-week basic obedience training course with one of the shleter dogs there, choosing one that lacks confidence to help her gain confidence outdoors and listen to the commands I give her even when she is terrified of the environment, which actually helps to calm her down alot more.
At my full time job at a doggie daycare, I could use the skills that I learnt during volunteering, which actually helped me alot. During the period of 2 years at the doggie daycare, I have attained a certificate of hydrotherapy for small animals and went through a first aid course, and for a day course on basic grooming for dogs.
During the school summer break in December 2019, I volunteered at an animal clinic and learnt more about how to handle animals at a clinic. As I have learn a lot of my dog handling at the animal shelter, at this clinic, I learnt more about cat handling - how to restrain them during vet consults and when cutting their nails, medicating cats, and administering injections to cats.
Rest assured that your pet(s) will be under good care when they are with me! They will definitely have lots of fun and love :-)
Thanks again for the marvelous job of taking care of my treasured cats.
Felicia was amazing with both my cats, very trustworthy and she treated them like they were her own pets. They really enjoyed her company and she kept me updated daily on there well being. Highly recommendable.
