Hi

My name is Lauren and I am setting up this pawshake account for my parents Greg and Caron.

Who

Dad is a recently retired police officer, who worked for the Queensland Police Force his entire adult working life. He has a lot more time on his hands now, when he isn't off playing golf, out on his boat fishing or taking a trip in the caravan. Mum still work part time but usually during the night. She loves to keep fit by walking around the lake at Coomera if your wanting your dog walked and don't mind them transported in the car to do so.

The Idea

Recently my partner Adam and I who are both teachers, went away over the school holidays and needed someone to look after our 4 year old Groodle Walter. Mum and dad had him for a couple of weeks and he had a great time. This is how dad (who is now also a grandad, hence the name poopys pooches) thought about setting up a dog sitter serice.

The property

Located in Mount Nathan in the Gold Coast Hinterland. (my childhood home) Is the perfect location for dogs to run and roam. They have a beautiful, friendly and playfull black and white, female Border Collie Kelsie. They live on 3/4 of an acre, so there is plenty of space for the pooches to play. They have a fully gated and fenced property. Mum and dad are happy to walk the dogs if requested for an additional fee. Large sheltered verandah for dogs to sleep out of the rain if poor weather. House is a beautiful Queenslander.

Exclusions

We would just ask that aggressive dogs known to bite or not good around kids or strangers or other dogs to please not book with us. Vaccinated only please.

Experience

Although mum and dad are new to pawshake, they are not new to being owners of pet dogs. I had 3 pet dogs growing up and they were very loved by all the family!

Mum and dad are the only ones living at the home with us kids and our grandkids visiting often.

Your dog will always have a companion out in the yard as Kelsie Girl lives there full time and would love a canine friend to play with.

Holidays

Can do longer stays if my parents are available. Discounted price for longer stays so please consider us if you are going away on a holiday. Mum loves to take pics of the pets and send through updates to your phone so you can feel at ease while your away.
