I am an educator living in Mildura. I am a huge animal lover and am happiest when spending time with and caring for animals. For the last two years, I have fostered dogs and cats through Sunraysia Animal Rehousing Group and Kitty’s Krib. I currently have a beautiful American Bull Terrier in my care as a long term foster, due to her complex medical needs. I volunteer fortnightly at a dog rescue in Cardross.
I’ve volunteered at many animal shelters in the past ten years where my main duties included:
DOGS: Walking (taking dogs for 15, 45 and 60 minute walks), grooming (brushing, bathing), feeding, watering, completing observation charts on general behavior (eating, drinking and toileting habits), basic training, providing enrichment (spending time with the dogs, playing with them, providing various toys and treat items, such as Kongs), bottle feeding puppies.
CATS: Grooming (brushing), feeding, watering, changing litter trays, completing observation charts on general behavior (eating, drinking and toileting habits), providing enrichment (spending time with the cats, playing with them, changing equipment in the enclosures in an attempt to create a more stimulating environment), bottle feeding kittens.
I have also taken care of various farmed animals (pigs, sheep, cows, goats, chickens and ducks) for extended periods of time, and spend time each year at an animal sanctuary. I have enjoyed many weeks at Farm Animal Rescue, Sugarshine Farm Sanctuary and Big Sky Sanctuary.
I’ve recently reactivated my profile and am available to help out from February onwards. I cater to Mildura and the immediate surrounds.

Hayley was great with our pup and kept us well updated. Would definitely recommend her for anyone needing dog sitter.
We are the kind of people that would never let our dogs go into a kennel. If we go on holiday, which we do a lot of due to me currently being a Travel agent we would always get my husbands parents to look after our beautiful dogs.
We got married in NZ in November so had no choice but to find someone new to look after our dogs as family and friends were all coming with us. Obviously being our first time looking into this I was extremely weary as I found this website by just googling. One of our dogs is a Blue heeler, but the biggest of sooks (certainly doesn't act like a blue heeler). She would never approach someone first, instead she will hide behind the couch and not talk to anyone. She is the kind of dog that chases leaves and shadows but would never harm a fly.
To our surprise on our first meeting with Hayley River approached her straight away, not a care in the world. Both me and my hubby were stunned and we both agreed the dogs can always tell whether a person will treat them right from the get go. We were sold as soon as the two met.
Whilst in NZ we were happy to know Hayley was definitely at our place with the sweet messages she would send along with beautiful pictures of our babies happily snuggling up on the couch or bed with her.
I couldn't recommend Hayley enough, she was absolutely fantastic. We left the house tidy on our departure and are happy to say we returned with it looking the same as we left.
The price was also fantastic and from now on we will most likely use Hayley as our first option, even over our family so we aren't putting the extra pressure on them.
