My name is Laura O'Dwyer, 23 years old and I am living in Bentleigh East.

I have always had a passion for animals as from when I was a little kid, I was raised with different types of animals and was taught to care for them in different ways. I had previously owned a dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) named Bronson, a bird (Cockatiel), three guinea pigs and lots of chickens. Not only did I play with my pets but when I was younger, I grew up in Ayres Rock where there were lizards, snakes, eagles and more and I loved them all. So with this variation of different animals I have looked after in the past, there is no animal I would say no to while you are away! And this includes the exotic kind too! I have only looked after dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish and ferrets, so would love to expand on what I can look after through Pawshake.

Thanks to the clients that I have looked after over the time period that I have been a petsitter for, I have been able to be responsible for many once shelter animals who are now in loving homes, which some do have some behavioural issues such as seperation anxiety. Not only that, but I have worked with animals who need medication with their meals, such as tablets which normally needs to be hidden in their food, and most recently a cat who needed insulin shots. So if your animal needs any special care, I am more than happy to assist in looking after your beautiful pet while you are away on holidays.

Currently I have two small dogs, Molly who is a beautiful Cavoodle and Milo the Maltese Shih Tzu. Milo is the older one out of the two by a month.

Personality wise, I am kind, caring, mature, patient and very flexible when it comes to availabilities. I have finished my year 12 and have done a dog training course from NDTF. With this course, I have learnt dog behavour and have been taught a balanced training methology to understand and then cease any bad habits in a dog.
