I grew up on a small farm, where our animals were more pets than farm animals, so I’m comfortable looking after all shapes and sizes of animal: chickens, ducks, rabbits, goats and cows. I also have always had cats and dogs as pets, as well as budgies, guinea pigs, and rats. I’ve looked after frogs for a friend, and I’ve fostered cats for the Lort Smith Animal hospital, which is how I met my current two cats, who rule my apartment! It also meant I learnt how to treat animals who had been traumatised, so I’m good at getting shy cats and dogs to come out of their shells.

I'm an animal tragic when travelling and I always take photos of animals I meet along the way - see my gallery for a couple of cat pics from Indonesia and Cambodia, as well as rescue elephants (learning how to just "be an elephant" again), and a land mine sniffing rat (APOPO is such an important cause!) I met in Cambodia.

Living in a small apartment, I really get into providing enrichment for my cats (see the 'indoor cat grass garden' in my profile pics!). I really enjoy walking out in the parks in the CBD area, and would love to take a four-legged companion along for the trip (there are some photos of local parks included in my profile pics).

I am reliable and take the responsibility of looking after your beloved furry family members very seriously. I offer personalised pet care, and I am happy to stick to a specific routine where this would make your pet more comfortable, and to spend time playing with your pets, and not just checking in to feed them.

If you’re away for a while, I am happy to collect mail, or water plants.

I prefer to meet your pets before looking after them (especially if you’ll be away for a long time), to make sure they’ll be a little more comfortable with someone new coming into their home, and I am happy to fit with your needs.

I am fairly flexible with my availability and can usually take on a last minute booking if needed – I’m happy to answer any questions you might have before you book.

I'm located in the CBD and would prefer to look after pets who are also located in or close to the CBD (3000 postcode).
