hi there! I’m Debbie, and Jared and I would love to look after your furbaby for you! My partner Jared and I live here with our big lovable goof Frankie (boxer x Amstaff) and Samurai the cat (both rescues).

Due to both working varying shifts there is generally someone home most of the time day and night. We are both animal lovers, Jared has a thing for pugs, whilst I adore big dogs! I volunteered with RSPCA for 3 1/2 years as a dog care attendant, and use only positive reinforcement handling and training methods. I work in the retail petcare industry and continue to support several animal welfare organizations and causes.

We have a decent sized backyard, we’ve added some extra fencing in places to ensure Frankie can’t get out. It’s now 6ft in most places (hedging protects the rest) and as such is secure for small - large dogs. Super small dogs may be able to get through the bars (10cm gaps) so may not be suitable for this property. any dogs would need to be reasonably cat friendly as Samurai is used to being the boss of the house, yes he’s even the boss of Frankie. We use a baby gate to separate part of the house to improve cat-dog relations and it seems to work well :)

other expectations are that your dog is treated for fleas, worms, up to date with vaccinations, toilet trained and of good temperament. Preferably not a dog that barks much! Frankie is probably the most placid dog you will meet, he is extremely patient and tolerant, and favorite pastime is sleeping. Don’t be fooled though, with some encouragement he does like a play and especially loves big dogs to wrestle. He lived for almost 2 years with a Maltese x shitsu with no issues, dogs big and small he gets along with. He’s ~9 years old now but he’s always been a lover not a fighter!
