Hi, I'm Sharon and I'm a business owner and certified dog trainer who works from home so I have a pretty flexible schedule. I have a medium sized secure yard with high fences. I live with my husband, brother, 5 year old Springer Spaniel and 7 year old bunny. :)
I offer a daycare and dog training combined service. This means your dog will get training and enrichment activities on top of physical exercise during their stay with me. I don’t run a typical day care where dogs are just allowed to run free and play with each other all day.
The time your dog has with me will be engaging, structured and educational. It’s like sending your dog to school each day :)
A typical daycare day:
MORNING - Arrive and settle in. Free play in the yard and a short session of training.
MID MORNING - Enjoy a mid morning snack, cuddles, then time to settle in the home office for a nap.
EARLY AFTERNOON - Enrichment session.
LATE AFTERNOON - Training playtime in the yard or a walk. Afternoon snack, settling in the office and waiting for their human to pick them up.
Safety:
Training:
I usually work on basic obedience or tricks but if there is anything specific you’d like me to work on, please let me know. Training needs to be consistent in order for you to see results. I will show you what we work on and how to continue the training at home. Please understand that 1 booking is not going to magically fix or train anything unless you also continue the work at home or your dog attends daycare regularly.
My dog Rufus:
Rufus is an inside dog and he is a typical happy go lucky Springer. He’s desexed, very tolerant and has a stable personality. He gets along with all dogs, loves to play but also knows how to settle down and rest when needed. He’s very useful in teaching our 4 legged guests how to behave through leading by example :)
My background:
For the last 4 years I’ve been volunteering at the Eastern Suburbs Dog Club as an instructor and I've got a Certificate III in Dog Behavior and Training with the National Dog Trainers Federation. I started getting into dog training because of Rufus. All the research and training became an obsession and as a result I’m now qualified and competing in various dog sports.
Food:
I provide all natural treats as part of my service. Where the ingredients are 100% what it’s supposed to be and does not include any fillers. If your dog is allergic to anything please let me know beforehand or bring your own treats.
Boarding:
At the moment I am only accepting overnight boarding for existing doggy clients. I can include training as well. The costs may vary depending on your training goals.
Past clients:
If you are a past client, I am happy to keep my old pricing for you. Just get in touch and I will organise this.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
