I'm a very friendly and cheerful person, and have always been a dog lover. I grew up with a little Australian Silky terrier, who was the family dog, and I had a Border Collie x Kelpie many years ago, when I was in my twenties. Such different dogs! We also had horses growing up, and while my back yard is a great size for a dog to run around in, it won't quite accommodate a horse. So, at the moment, I have a little Westie called Diego who is 3 years old, and a little Cairn terrier called Pedro who is nearly 2. Diego and Pedro are super friendly little guys, with lots of experience with other dogs in our home. Pedro would play all day, given the chance! As I'm working from home most days, I thought there might be someone else with a friendly little dog who might be looking for some companionship and attention during the day, so I decided to join up on Pawshake.
My dogs have always been allowed inside, and are very much part of the family. Diego, Pedro and I generally go for a walk in the morning before I start work, and then again in the evening, when we sometimes head to the dog park, or explore the many walking trails around our area, or do a bit of training.
I love the mental stimulation of learning new things, and believe that most dogs do too. I'm attending obedience classes with my dogs, and have done a lot of reading on the topic of dog behaviour and training, as I really want to learn how to provide the best environment and most fulfilled life I can for the dogs in my life. Dogs clearly have emotions, and the more I can understand about how a dog communicates and expresses itself, the better I am able to relate to it.
I've taken care of many other animals for friends previously, including chickens, snakes, birds, cats, fish, horses and dogs, and I'm very careful to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Being a doting dog owner myself, I completely understand how much they are loved, and how important it is for an owner to know their dog is in safe hands.
My home has a very good sized yard, with secure fences all around, and an undercover area. Any guest dogs will have free access inside via the doggie door, just like Diego and Pedro.
Please note that I can only offer dog boarding and daycare for small breed dogs.

Linda is a wonderful dog-carer! Our little Annie just loves her trips to spend time with her friends Linda, Pedro and Diego. I couldn't fault a thing about the service and support she provides. Our dog can be a little fussy and is on medication, however Linda handles everything without stress. Thanks again Linda!
We were so happy with the way Linda cared for our miniature Spoodle Gus. She was attentive to any of Gus needs and asked us all about him and our routine we have at home. Linda sent us regular updates with photos and messages, which really reassured us and made our trip away more relaxing, knowing he was happy. We Wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.
