[ About me ] Hey! I'm Brie, I'm 19 & currently studying in healthcare at Murdoch uni. I have two of my own high energy dogs - a senior lady (Australian Shepherd) and a two-year-old kelpie x lab but I would love the chance to take care of your dogs through house visits, daycare or just going for walks. I grew up on a farm, so I'm used to being around lots of animals. I'd love to get to know some other pets and if you let me look after yours I would treat them with as much love as I do my own. While I am not able to host any more animals at my house, I would love to be able to take your pets for walks around your neighbourhood or even stay overnight to look after them.
[ Services] I'm reliable, punctual and I have a fairly flexible schedule as I'm at uni. I live in the Kalamunda area but I'm more than willing to drive around. I am happy to offer dog walking around the area your dog is used to, checking in on your pet during the day and house-sitting. House-sitting, in particular, is a popular service as it allows owners to go away on holiday while having the peace of mind knowing that their pet is in a comfortable and familiar environment with someone around to give them lots of attention. Rates cover minimum wage + up to 20% (for insurance/admin through Pawshake).
I am happy to cuddle up with them on the couch
or throw a ball in the yard, or anything else to give your pet the attention they need.
[ Experience] I have over a year of experience looking after dogs as a job, in addition to a lifetime of having dogs as part of my family. Some (not all) of the breeds that I have looked after either through dog-walking or a long/short term housesit are; Bulldog, Staffy, GSP, Pugs, Mastiff, Labrador, Whippet, Spaniel, Aus. Shepherd, Kelpie, Irish Setter. While I am particularly partial to larger dogs, I would be more than happy to look after nearly any breed as long as they have some degree of basic training. Some of the housesits that I have done also involved looking after cats, and I am happy to do that too! I can also give oral medication (ie. tablets) and apply local creams too should that be needed. I have a car, and should there be a need, I would be able to take your pet to your preferred vet.
Brie was a Godsend and gave me peace of mind knowing that Gertie was in good hands while I was away.
Gertie was recovering from major surgery and was happy and healthy when I got home to a clean house as well.
I highly recommend Brie to pet sit for anyone and will book her again if needed.
I have a limited sighted dog who is very wary of new people, and needs medication on a daily basis, she is a terror to walk. Brie gained her trust on her first visit and put up with the pulling on walks, I got daily photos and updates which put my mind at total ease on my work trip away. I will definitely have Brie look after my dog again and would highly recommend her
