Hey Everyone! I am a 22 year old Christian who loves animals. I decided to sign up with Pawshake as I have always had a love for pets and to gain more experience in pet caring. My home is pet friendly, we have a medium sized back yard for our family dog to run around, she's a mini-fox by the name of Pepsi. She now rests up in the heavens. 💛 The services I am offering are listed below. I mostly prefer working with small dogs, although I do occasionally make exceptions for medium sized dogs, as long as they are really friendly and not too difficult to handle. I have also had some experience with looking after a lamb (that's right, a LAMB!) I try to take as many photos as I can and give the owners updates on how their pet is going throughout their holiday. When it comes to bedding, food, food bowls, toys etc, I ask that the owners bring their own pet's things simply so that the furry will feel more comfortable and at home. There is also no extra charge for providing these things. All owners are required to give a rough if not exact time for when they will be arriving or leaving to drop off/pick up their fur baby. This makes it easier for my family and I as we would be able to better plan our day accordingly instead of having to wait around, unsure of when the owner will be coming. If a pet ends up staying with us a little longer than what was originally planned, I will be charging for those extra days - depending on how much longer it will be -All bookings are required to participate in a "meet & greet", so that any potential guests can come by and get a feel of the environment in which they will be staying, and so their owners can also check out the place. Any owners who can't participate in the meet and greet (unless due to valid reasons) will NOT be allowed to go ahead with the official booking. I'm not trying to sound strict but there must be some rules. :) My services: Home Dog Boarding - I charge $27 a day for a pet, and if the owner had more than one pet/dog that needed looking after, my rate for each additional pet is $17. Once I have been contacted by an owner, and if I am available during the times that they are asking for, I schedule a meet and greet before the pet's official stay (usually done at my house) so that the owner and pet can get a feel of the house and environment before hand. If all goes well at the meet and greet, next is just finalizing details, questions such as "does the dog stay in or outdoors?" "where does it sleep?" "eating times?" etc. Once that is sorted, then its on to the pet's holiday, and once they have settled I regularly give the owner an update or two on how their fur baby is going (usually once a day if not every couple days). Doggy Day Care - Again, the pricing is the same as it is for home dog boarding, charging $27 a day and $17 for each additional pet. Doggy day care is very similar to the home dog boarding, except in this case the dog doesn't stay over night. First is the meet and greet and depending on how that goes it just picks up from there. As the pet will usually just be styaing for the day in this service, I let the owners choose whether or not they want to provide their food or just let their pet have what ever pet food we have (if that is okay with them) as it would just be easier than having to bring their food over just for a day. Again I ask similar questions to the home dog boarding - does the pet need to be taken for walks? kept inside? kept outside? etc. Dog Walking -$27 per day and $17 for each additional pet. Firstly I would organise a meet and greet where I would visit the owners house or we would meet up at a near by park, just so that I myself could meet pet and just see how things go. If the pet plays nice and the owner is happy with it, from there I would just finalize details and when the date arrives to take the pet for it's first walk, I would organise a time to meet at the owners house, and once there discuss how long the would is needed to be and where the best place to walk is and then be off. One Home Visit Per Day - Rate per day is $30. This is where I would go to the owners house while they're away to just check up on their pets, involves making sure they have food and water, having a little play with them if needed, as well as taking them for a walk if required. The pricing for this service may seem a little high but I do need to take the fuel cost into account. Two Home Visits Per Day - Rate per day is $40,and everything else is just like the above description except it is two visits instead of one. House Sitting - I have not yet been asked for this service. My rate per day is $50. Thanks! Can't wait to hear from you! :)
Ken and his family are lovely! Their home was the perfect environment for our Maltese baby Djuka. Ken sent through regular updates and pictures and was very easygoing. He even slept on the lounge downstairs near our dog to ease his anxiety. It was great to know our boy was cared for and happy while we were away for a few days. I’m sure Djuka will be staying with Ken again!
Ken did a wonderful job looking after our two dogs!! He was so kind and caring towards them and we appreciated the regular updates.
