Hi, I’m Jim Munro, an experienced and dependable dog walker based at the Rowville Retirement Village, Links at Waterford. I’m also a proud veteran, having served 10 years in the Royal Navy. As a former owner of two Labradors, I have a soft spot for larger, high-energy breeds, but I am equally comfortable with smaller breeds like Terriers or Spaniels. I have experience handling various behavioral traits, including leash pulling and reactivity toward other dogs. My approach is calm and structured; I use positive reinforcement and redirection to keep walks focused and stress-free.

I once managed a particularly nervous rescue dog that would "freeze" during walks. By utilizing patient body language and incremental trust-building, I helped that dog regain confidence over several weeks. Whether it's navigating a sudden thunderstorm or managing an unexpected encounter with an off-leash dog, I remain composed and prioritize the dog's safety above all else.

Safety & Emergency Readiness

Safety is my absolute priority. I double-check gates, leads, and harnesses before every outing. In the event of an emergency or sudden illness, I am prepared to:

• Immediately secure the dog in a safe location.

• Contact you and your preferred vet instantly.

• Administer basic first aid or transport the dog to the nearest emergency clinic if required.

Tailored Care

Walks are 30–60 minutes and tailored to your dog’s fitness level. I focus on safe routes and maintain constant awareness of our surroundings. You can trust that your dog will be treated with the same kindness and respect I gave my own companions.
