My strong motivation to become a pet sitter has come from my ongoing love of pets. Ive been exposed to all kinds of animals in my lifetime. These include dogs (breeds like Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Tenterfield Terrier X, Miniature Poodle, Samoyed, Bullarab X Mastiff and Kelpie X Border Collie), cats, budgerigars, dwarf rabbits (lived in Canberra at the time), mice and aquarium fish.
I have previous animal experience through working at a local pet resort, where I cared for various dog breeds and sizes, through measured feeding, administering medications, routine health checks, washing and grooming and playtime through exercise and swimming, also cleaning their sleeping/outdoor area. I was also exposed to cats and various bird species here, which I helped feed and clean areas.
I have other valid experience through looking after my friends cat, by going to her house and completing jobs such as feeding, cleaning kitty litter, playtime, checking mail box and bringing in bins.
My home currently has our 23 month old Bullarab X Mastiff dog Atlas and 8 year old Kelpie X Border Collie dog Wally. Atlas is a goofy happy boy who loves playing and having fun with other dogs. Wally is a friendly and energetic boy who loves chasing balls and has a toy obsession. Both are desexed and vaccinated.
